Childhood and Schooling
Born on July 29, 1977, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India; moved to Buffalo, New York, with his family when he was three years old; graduated at the age of eleven from Baltimore City College; at the age of thirteen from New York University; and at the age of seventeen from Mount Sinai School of Medicine with a medical degree

Career:

Completed his fellowship at Duke University; and completed his residence at Harvard University
Is employed at the Pacific Clear Vision Institute in Eugene, Oregon; Has volunteered with the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital, visiting impoverished nations to perform and instruct eye surgery;

Successes
Is the youngest doctor in the world, holding the Guinness World Record Achieved a score of more than 99 per cent on his National Medical Boards Recipient of the Troutman-Véronneau Prize from the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology in 2013; Recipient of the Fourth IRDS Awards for Medicine; 2014 Ludwig von Sallmann Clinician-Scientist Award from the ARVO Foundation

Personal life

He gave a kidney to a 16-year-old Idaho boy in 2011; his brother Jayakrishna is a doctor as well, and the two of them co-wrote an HIV/AIDS study book.
