دوسری جانب طالبان نے ایک بار پھر وادی پنجشیر میں پیش قدمی کی ہے اور طالبان لڑاکو جنگجووں نے وادی سے متصل پہاڑوں اور چوٹیوں پر مورچے قائم کرلیے ہیں۔ میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق طالبان نے دعویٰ کیا ہے کہ جنگجوؤں کے دستے مختلف سمتوں سے وادی پنجشیر میں داخل ہونے لگے ہیں۔ طالبان کے ثقافتی کمیشن کے رکن امان اللہ کا کہنا تھا کے وادی میں داخلے کے وقت کسی مزاحمت کا سامنا نہیں کرنا پڑا اور نہ کبھی کرنا پڑے گا، تاہم وادی پنجشیر کی مزاحمتی فورس کے رکن نے طالبان کے ان دعوؤں کی مزاہمت کی ہے۔ مزاحمتی فورس کے مذاکراتی وفد کے رکن محمد الماس زاہد نے بتایا تھا کہ پنجشیر میں کوئی لڑائی نہیں ہوئی اور نہ ہی کوئی داخل ہوسکا ہے۔ اور نہ ہونے دیں گے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اگر مذاکرات ناکام ہوئے تو سنگین نتائج سامنے آئیں گے، اس سے جنگ اور غیرملکی مداخلت کا راستہ کھلے گا۔ انکا کہنا تھا کے امید ہے کے اب کسی ایسی صورتحال سے ہم نہ گزریں
