A number of the simplest kept ones involve moments that were never actually meant to happen. When those occur because the cameras are rolling, they are often truly magical — making the film more romantic, dramatic, or, in some cases, comedic.

We imagine that the actors and actresses thrown into creating romantic or emotional onscreen connections between their characters by building to a kiss may struggle. After all, all eyes are on them once they perform these on-camera smooches on set.

However, once they are so in character, sometimes they let their actions represent them with a kiss which will surprise cast members and viewers alike, resulting in some amazing, memorable scenes. As the resurgent film of the Jurassic Park franchise, there have been tons of expectations about what would seem like in Jurassic World. Big dinosaurs were a given, also as tons of running and screaming. However, what people didn’t expect was a kiss between the 2 lead actors. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were on their Judgment Day filming when their spontaneous on-screen kiss happened and Pratt pulled Howard toward him, giving her a surprise smooch.

Turns out that they had quite the audience for his or her kiss, too. “It was funny because that day we were shooting there were 800 background artists. We had shot the scene within the way that it had been written — there was no kiss,” Howard said in an interview with Out. “And then on the Judgment Day, that happened — what you see within the movie.

After [director] Colin [Trevorrow] yells cut, there was mountainous applause. Everyone was cheering. it had been great!” The unscripted moment was certainly a crowd-pleaser, and it did, of course, make it into the ultimate cut of the movie.

There were many shocks and surprises throughout The Hunger Games trilogy, and therefore the final film was no exception. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 featured a sweet moment between Woody Harrelson’s character, Haymitch, and Effie, Elizabeth Banks’ character. While the 2 say their goodbyes to each other, they share a quick kiss.

This wasn’t involved in the script, but the actors decided to travel for it. “We planned that moment. Woody [Harrelson] and that i went into that moment, that wasn’t written, we improved that,” Banks told HuffPost. “We decided to try to do it, and therefore the director was like, ‘I like it. Let’s try it again.’ We also did it without a kiss, and that we let him decide within the editing room, and that we love that he kept it.”

Book-to-film adaptations often face tons of criticism for not adhering to the source material, but at this point, it seemed that fans were accepting of this surprising moment. and that we think Harrelson was proud of the choice, as he told Entertainment Tonight, “I have a crush on Elizabeth Banks, I’m not getting to lie.” Lucky him!

As far as long-awaited TV kisses go, Ross and Rachel from Friends likely take the cake for the foremost inevitable kiss, though the characters took their sweet time making it happen. During the episode, Rachel drunk-dialled Ross (using her date’s phone) to leave a voicemail saying she was finally over him, and then she proceeded to ditch the incident until later. Despite her best efforts, Ross heard the voicemail. By the top of the episode, they shared their first kiss at Central Perk.

Mindy and Danny began as frenemies on The Mindy Project, but they always appeared to look after one another deeply despite their competitiveness. However, Danny deceived her into joining him to visit his estranged dad. On the way back after the visit, the duo experienced some turbulence on the flight. Startled, Danny ran to the rear of the plane to satisfy Mindy and ended up confessing his feelings to her. There, they locked their lips in what could be one of the foremost exciting on-screen aeroplane kisses ever.

Though Dawson’s Creek’s lead character Dawson preferred to focus his attention on the newcomer/girl nearby Jen, it had been pretty clear that he and ally Joey had feelings for each other too. Joey spent the primary two seasons trying to manoeuvre on and find herself a replacement beau. In Season 3, Joey began so far Pacey, to the dismay of Dawson. Pacey and Joey’s first kiss happened when Joey least expected it in Episode 17, after an enormous argument between the pair.
