– Family: Mahindra & Mahindra co-founder Jagdish Chandra Mahindra’s grandson
– Education: Lovedale’s Lawrence School He received a magna cum laude degree from Harvard University in 1977. He also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981.
Career
– Mahindra Group: In 1981, became a member of Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd (MUSCO). – Important roles: Former MUSCO president and deputy managing director (1989). Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Deputy Managing Director (1991).Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (1997). The Mahindra Group’s managing director and board chairman (2012) – Additional endeavours: Kotak Mahindra Bank’s co-founder. Creator of the Nanhi Kali project, which promotes education for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.
