Pakistan’s government plans to introduce an all-in-one emergency helpline, 911, to react to involves assistance quickly across the country.Various emergency lines are going to be consolidated into one hotline referred to as Pakistan Emergency Helpline (PEHEL).

The plan is to develop a service like the United States’ 911 helpline.“While we’ll give technical support and construct the backend infrastructure, the inside ministry will make sure that it’s implemented by forging collaboration among various emergency response services at the federal and provincial levels,” said IT minister.

The dedicated emergency response number are often dialled to get various services like police, ambulance, and other rescue and support, eliminating the necessity for people to call multiple helplines during an emergency.
