Karachi recovered Rs 761 million in motor vehicle taxes and Rs 120 million in property taxes in July
Karachi recovered Rs. 761 million in automobile taxes and Rs. 120 million in property taxes in July. The Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation, Narcotics Control, Parliamentary Affairs, and Food, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, announced on Sunday that Karachi collected Rs 761.539 million in automobile taxes in July of the financial year 2021.
The provincial minister went on to mention that in July 2021, Rs. 34.628 million was collected from Hyderabad and Rs. 10.030 million was collected from Sukkur under the heading of automobile taxes. Chawla added that automobile tax was collected within the amount of Rs 5.147 million from Shaheed Benazirabad Bhutto, Rs 7.714 million from Larkana, and Rs 4.990 million collected from Mirpurkhas.
In terms of property tax, he added, Rs 120 million was collected from Karachi and Rs 5.363 million from Hyderabad respectively, while Rs 1.995 million was obtained from Sukkur and Rs 0.906 million from Shaheed Benazirabad Bhhuto as well.
